| Borders wide open, corporations
hiring illegals; drugs freely entering
our country; border patrol agents serving
prison time for doing their jobs and
sanctuary cities and law-breaking
churches harboring illegals in the name
of nonconformance. It's no wonder
illegals are freely crossing our borders
and openly protesting in the streets,
demanding their constitutional rights.
What? They're laughing at us because
we're condoning their unlawful behavior.
How can we even think, that people
wishing to enter this country, should go
through legal immigration, when our
current immigration laws are being
over-looked. Our government makes it easy
for them to live, work and have babies
here in our country - availing themselves
of our resources and using our ER's as
their primary physicians at taxpayer's
expense! No wonder California and other
states are going bankrupt! Hello?
Other than wasting millions of dollars on
virtual border fences that don't seem to
work, our government is doing absolutely
nothing to enforce the laws already on
the books. It appears our elected
officials are not that concerned about
our independence, health, economy and the
American people. When are we going to
wake-up and (finally) do something about
our national dilemma.
I have the answer! Either shorten the
time it takes to become a citizen
legally, or give all illegal aliens
citizenship, with the following
conditions: ("They" or
"them" means anyone wishing to
become a citizen of the USA).
1) They must learn "some"
English; enough to be able to communicate
with authorities, businesses, read road
signs and able to complete an
application.
2) They must register for a legal social
security number.
3) They must take a driver's test, get a
valid drivers license and buy the
required vehicle insurance, for one year
- not month to month, but for one year in
advance.
4) Businesses would be required (by law)
to pay them a salary equal to the job
standard or at least the minimum legal
wage, as well as comply to all the state,
federal and local laws regarding
employment. Businesses would be required
to pay any bonuses, or any fringe
benefits that may be due. Businesses
would also be required to offer or
subsidize a medical and health insurance
plan.
5) They would become accountable for
anything they do illegally, like the rest
of us. They would be required to take an
oath of responsibility.
6) The one thing American citizens would
want most from immigrants, is to
assimilate with the rest of us. The sad
part of all this is that they really
don't want to assimilate with us; they
just want to come here, work, send money
back home and be left alone.
