| The Don't Ask, Don't Tell
law violates the first and fifth
amendments. It abridges gays their
freedom of speech and deprives them the
same rights as everyone else; life,
liberty or property, without due process
of law. DADT prohibits the military from
asking a service member about their
sexual orientation. However, if caught in
a homosexual act, even in their own home
off base, or they trust someone by
telling them they are gay or just
admitting it, requires the military to
immediately discharge them from duty.
More than 13, 500 military men and women
have been discharged since 1994,
including 59 gay Arabic linguists
(interpreters) and 9 gays who spoke
Farsi. See: Army
dismisses gay Arabic linguist |
Gays
being kicked out of military at steady
rate
When
people, especially men, volunteer to
serve in the US Military, they sign up to
protect and defend the constitution of
this country, which is the USA. If they
are so intimidated and so sensitive about
taking a shower with a gay man, how can
they be mentally fit to fight the
"real enemy" who thinks nothing
of beheading a homosexual? However, I am
a firm believer, that "any"
military personnel who flaunts and makes
unwanted sexual advances towards another,
should be immediately discharged.
In my opinion, any service man or women
who is against gays in the military, are
not fit to defend this country for the
very right to "be" a
homosexual, a person of faith or an
atheists. These are some of the very same
people who become cheaters, liars,
deadbeat dads and moms who believe it's
OK to abort (murder) their unborn baby,
because "it's their" body.
These are all morally wrong, but that is
what makes America so special. We're a
nation of laws which protect our freedoms
- even the freedom to be homophobic, a
racist or a bigot. Our moral wrongdoings
are solely between each of us and our
maker.
Then there's the new form of
contraception, used widely these days by
sexual teen boys and girls, and many
adults; it's called sodomy. Biblically,
"sodomy" is the same act that
makes homosexuality a sin; which
fortunately, is not the unforgivable sin.
Where are the clergy, the parents, the
schools, the sex educators and biblical
scholars and teachers, telling our
children that what they're doing
sexually, is, in God's eyes, the same as
homosexuality?
Homosexuality
and how our teenagers are having sex, is
all the same.
Homosexuality is like being black; both
groups suffer discrimination. Ask any
black and ask any homosexual. However,
when the civil rights laws were enacted,
blacks now had anti-discrimination laws
to help them, which included affirmative
action. There are still no laws
protecting discrimination against a
homosexual. Blacks will argue that there
is no comparison between the color of
their skin and being a homosexual;
because they had "no control or
choice" over what color their skin
would be at birth. Heterosexuals have no
control over their sexuality at birth, as
well.
I hate to contradict your
learned point of view, but homosexuals
have "no control or choice"
over their being born a homosexual; the
same as any person's skin color at birth.
Homosexuality is not a choice. Why would
anybody "choose" to be gay,
live that kind of life and be
discriminated all throughout their lives,
because of ignorance of others and the
hate for gays that goes with it.
Homosexuals DO have one
"choice" to make, regarding
their sexual relationships, and that is
to never have homosexual sex.
Unlike blacks,
gays are still oppressed, enslaved and
discriminated against, by so many bigoted
and hateful hearts; including many
religious leaders who preach hate and the
U. S. government. None of which
discriminate against the color of a gay
person's skin.
DADT is pure
discrimination! We should honor every
person willing to put their life on the
line to defend the liberty of every man,
woman and child, no matter who they are
or the way they were born. What a shame
some in our military and politicians,
don't see it that way. It's pure
ignorance and the lack of biblical
literacy.
If you want to get technical over moral
issues, the person who discriminates
against another person, is in judgment of
that person, which is a sin in God's
eyes. To judge another, you have already
broken the 9th commandment which says,
"You shall not bear false witness
against your neighbor", which is
making a judgment, falsely accusing
someone of doing something or placing
blame for being different.
In Mathew 7:1-6, Christ said "Judge
not, that ye be not judged. For with what
judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:
and with what measure ye mete, it shall
be measured to you again. And why
beholdest thou the mote that is in thy
brother's eye, but considerest not the
beam that is in thine own eye? Or how
wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull
out the mote out of thine eye; and,
behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam
out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou
see clearly to cast out the mote out of
thy brother's eye. Give not that which is
holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your
pearls before swine, lest they trample
them under their feet, and turn again and
rend you." Only God knows what's in
a person's heart.
And, a biblical thought, regarding worthy
people not being accepted by other worthy
people; In Matthew 10:14, Christ also
said: "And whosoever shall not
receive you, nor hear your words, when ye
depart out of that house or city, shake
off the dust of your feet. Verily I say
unto you, It shall be more tolerable for
the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day
of judgment, than for that city."
Final thoughts: Any military man who
opposes a permanent ban on Don't Ask,
Don't Tell policy, simply condones the
policy because it psychologically
threatens their masculinity. If they are
that bigoted and homophobic, one can only
assume they are also a racist.
Here's a tip for men
wishing to join the U.S. Military - if
you have a problem with gay men and women
serving their country, for your very
right to hate them, maybe you don't
belong in the military. A better
enlistment of your time would be to read
the scriptures - you're the one with the
problem.
If you serve for freedom
with a grudge and hate in your hearts for
gays, you're fighting in vain, because
you haven't learned as yet, the true
meaning of what freedom is all about. If
you still feel that you are without sin,
yet still wish to judge and condemn gays,
you may be the first to cast a stone.
Ignorance may be bliss - for now - but
God's letter to you, the Holy Bible,
might set you free.
In the meantime, people
like you are not fit to fight for the
rights, freedom and liberty of all other
Americans. Anyone who puts their life on
the line to protect my 1st amendment
rights, is without any doubt, a hero and
an American patriot.
This DADT
law must be repealed immediately to
protect the rights of us all.
